Hello, everyone! After all these years of having my avatar, I finally found the original piece of work it came from.

I look SO good! I'm guessing this is where my avatar came from.

They didn't. I'm pretty sure that chess was invented by the Chinese (though popular belief is that it was invented in India). I think people just saw the images of senet players, recognized it as chess and then the Egyptian chess player myth took off from there.

I just thought maybe Sir Lawrence didn't know diddly squat about Egypt and thought Senet was Chess or didn't really know how to paint a Senet game.

And Chess was originated in India.

And about the "chess" thing....I didn't know it was started in India. That's cool...I'd like to play Senet though...never played it before...

Though, you couldn't play it nowadays...or can you? :shock:
