People have this misconception that Ancient Egyptians were ruthless monsters who stopped at nothing to build their monuments. I know this is not true and new evidence is pointing to the fact that Egyptians treated their laborers with respect and they were well taken care of.
So now that we are becoming somewhat more educated in the subject, would it be safe to say that Egyptians for sure did not mistreat their workers. For one thing they believe in Ma’at. Didn’t this force them to respect everyone? Especially if, in my eyes, if you think about it, their whole existence was based on the preparation for the Afterlife.
Just a suggestion…what do you all think. I would love to hear your insight or ideas about how the Egyptians treated salves, labors, or foreigners.
