I am doing a report on King Tut for school. I would greatly appreciate it if one or more of you would complete my questions. Thanks you.

1.) What is your name/age:

2.) How old was King Tut when he became king?

3.) How old was King Tut when he died?

4.) How did King Tut die.

5.) Do you believe in the mummies curse?

6.) In which year was King Tut's tomb discovered?

7.) IF King Tut was murdered, then why?

8.) What interests you about ancient Egypt?

9.) Give me the fact about King Tut that you find most interesting.

Thanx you.
:D

I don't understand why teachers are wanting the same information on Tutankhamen. We know more about Ramesses the great and cleopatra than King Tut. Er, at least we think we do.

the infos you said thta you require can be easily find even reading KTO forum. I believe you can find more interest in looking around than simply asking one of us to answer those questions for you....you'll maybe realise that you like Ancient Egypt more than I do....you should try, at least!....we are all here to help you try to understand more in case you need!
c'mon ! don't be shy! :D

no, no you don't understand. This interview is REQUIRED for the assignment. If I don't get an interview, I don't get the grade. I already found out most of this info, but I just need someone to answer me these quesions

Why don't you interview a real person who you can speak to and see? We get so many people swanning in her and expecting other people to do their assignments for them. I'll do it anyway:

1) My name is Johnathan and I am 19

2) Tutankhamun was aged five when he became Pharaoh, but it was not until he was eleven that he was officially deemed old enough to rule alone.

3) Most Egyptologists assert that Tutankhamun was around 17 when he died, due to dating of the skull and wisdom teeth.

4) Despite controversy, it is now almost certian that Tutankhamun was thrown or fell from a chariot during an official race in the season of Renpetji, due to court records and injuries sustained by his mummified remains.

5) The curse of Tutankhamun undeniably does exist. There have been far too many mysterious unnacountable deaths of those who worked on the original excavation, and 'shubati' curse tablets and urns were discovered at the entrance to the tomb.

6) It was supposedly discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter, but infact had been recorded by the Archaelogist Percivile Shellington in the late 1800s.
His accounts refer to the tomb as being 'of no importance'.

7) There may have been attempts at userpation by his famous twin, Ankhenafshef, or by his army general Horemnab. Both were desperate for power, and the boy king may have proved the ideal means.

8 ) I love Egypt for many reasons, the main being that the civilisation endured for nearly 10,000 years, and its culture spread across most of the known world.

9) My favourite fact about Tutankhamun is that his name means, "Beloved Son of the eternal Gods"

I have to take exception to several of the things you wrote about, Psusennes I.
In number 4, you refer to court records and his mummy as being proof that he died in a cariot accident during a feast-celebration. Where did you get that information? As far as I know, there is no record of how he died--that's why there is so many opinions on the cause of his death.
In number 5, you state that the curse does exist, and that urns and shabtis bearing the curse was found at the entrance to the tomb. This is not the case--if you access Carter's notes of the excavation, he clearly states that no object or papyrus was found that had any curse.
In number 6, you hint that Tut's tomb was previously found. When Shellington excavated, he did find the burial of the remains of the feast that was observed during Tut's funeral rites. Several items with Tut's name were found. But the tomb itself was not discovered until 1922, by Carter.
In number 7, you refer to a twin of Tutankhamen. I have never heard this.

I agree with Osiris wrt his comments.

Furthermore. It seems that Hawass put Tutankhamen's death at age 19?
He is generally thought to have ruled for 10. Counting back, that puts him on the throne at age 9. (Age 7 if you take the lower age estimate I guess)

I don't think there's much significance to age 11. Egyptian men were thought to be adult at age 16. My guess would be that he would take full control at age 16 then (If the advisors let him of course  )

Egyptian civilization as we know it (including predynastic period) lasted 5,000 years, not 10,000.

Did you give wrong answers to everything on purpose?

Psusennes I THANK you SO much ^_________^

I am gratefull.

Trust me, if I didn't have to do this interview I would not.

I live in a very small town, I had a week to do this stupid interview, and no one in my school even knows who King Tut IS. You are a real person anyways....

Oh, and, I did hear on a few websights that he DID have a twin brother, I think osiris spelled his name wrong though, it's ok, I'll edit it later.
