I like your blog and wish you the best in your studies. I have been studying hieroglyphs for about eight or nine years now and seem to get more addicted to this ancient language the more I learn.

You can find a full copy of gardiner's sign list at which lists the orthodox phonetic transliterations for each sign in a more accessible format and further information on the offering formula at .

I am presently in the process of compliling a dictionary which as you can imagine is a huge labour of love. I also plan on adding further tutorials on egyptian grammar. You may also be interested in the quizes on on single consonant signs and the names of egyptian gods.
