because the mummy is decompossed, scientist can not find trace of poisen, but also, they can not rule it out. The broken, decomposing knee could be because of the fact that the mummy was VERY old, and once a body, even mummified, is dead for so long it starts to breakaway and decompose, this may also be the fact for teh back head! right? i mean have scientist even THOUGHT of that?

You do not seem to watch programs like CSI - They can tell the difference between an injury done to a living body and one that has been dead for some time.
I believe - but I am not certain - that there was evidence of some healing on the injury.

Very true, tnrees. Upon close examination by a group of technical experts, the break in the knee showed signs that there had been some bone re-growth, proving that the break occurred BEFORE death. There was absolutely NO evidence of any "blow to the back of the head", it is merely a popular belief that defies proof.
As I said before, any traces of poison are long-gone, so any belief that he was poisoned are just that, personal belief. Hawass himself has stated that "although evidence is lacking, poison remains a possibility".
Reflecting on the times, it is more than likely he was "put aside" (poisoned) by someone at someone's orders. There is nothing but, again, speculation he was poisoned on Aye or Horemheb's orders.
The CT scan group agreed that he seemed to be a normal, health young man--who just "happened" to die!

acually, there IS evidence of SOMETHING in the back of the head, they are just not true what it is! And the fact that he was poisened was made up when they first found his body because at that point they had no electronic device to find fractures and stuff, so they bascially just MADE IT UP, but it is still a possibility. In a month or so, scientist say they will no EXCALLY how Tut died, but thats bogus, no one will ever no excally![/quote]

Here is the OFFICIAL report of the CT scan. Pay particular attention to the last paragraph king-eye-alok56:

Whats your point... the last paragraph states that there is no evidence of a "blow to the bacxk of the head"... I know that... I said that... but..... According to Mohamed Saleh, Derictor-General of the Egyptian Museum, the original analysis of Tutankhamen's mummy suggested that the boy king died of a lung disease or even a brain tumor. "This would explain the lump found on the back of his head," he said. there IS something in the back of the head, byt it is not a fracture or blow... and I copied and pasted that one passage :D :P  :!:

Saleh was a member of the team of experts who examined the CT scan. There was a general consensus of opinion that was published and accepted by most scholars--unfortunately, Saleh was not one of them. His theories are just that--theories, viewed by the main-stream Egyptologists as nothing more thanhis own personal opinions.

please except others ideas..

If that meansreading other "facts" and accepting them as absolute truth, sorry...My prevailing truth has always been logics. "If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck and swims like a duck" it's probably a duck! That's so true with Tut. His mummy shows a fairly health young man; there is no evidence of any foul play, the possibility of poison is quite likely, there is evidence of a massive injury or accident that, eveentually, cause his death--probably a duck...

It wasn't that long ago that it was widely accepted amongst scholars that Tutankhamun may have been murdered by some kind of physical attack. Bob Brier put vast amounts of thought, theory, and hard work into showing the world those possibilities; he was the biggest believer in this theory. However, more recent scans have shown that the bone loose in the skull was produced during mummification (when the brain was extracted from the nose), and one serious candidate for his cause of death is his injured knee. It's still certainly possible that there was foulplay when Tutankamun died (poisioning is possible, as well as the knee injury may not have been entirely accidental), but the injury to the head didn't even happen, so it's not even a possibility. Bob Brier later admitted that his murder theory was wrong. To be able to admit that you were incorrect about something is an admireable quality in a person, as it shows a great passion for learning (at least, I think it does). No-one can say for sure whether Tutankhamun was murdered or not, but they can say with some confidence that it had nothing to do with the head injury.

I agree - we are unlikely to know for certain - want we realy want is for someone to find a cache of intelligence reports by someone telling their boss what was happening far away in Thebes - we can hope.
