The boy had only gotten not even an hour's rest when Ay came in to wake him, as he usually did. Ay just stood in the doorway, a smug look on his face as he smirked at the boy. He chuckled lightly to himself, and walked into the king's chamber.
"My Pharaoh, it is morning...time to wake up..."
Tut shivered, he hated this man with a passion...why wouldn't he just leave him be?! He turned over to look at Ay, then turned back to the window as the sun started climbing higher into the sky. Usually, he ignored the creepy Prime minister, and today would be no different. He sat up in bed, and glared at the man. "I'm awake, now. You are dismissed."
Ay scoffed at the boy, smirked in his usual weird way and walked out. Tut shuddered, and jumped out of his bed, putting on his golden nemes crown. He smiled up at it, it really felt good to have it on.
"Huh, maybe the old man was...right...?"
He pondered this for a moment, then shook his head. "Nyah...nope!" He grinned widely, and he realized he was already dressed to begin with-he just added his gold armbraces and necklace. He looked out the window, and took a deep breath, what wonderful fresh air met his lungs! He felt that this might actually be a great day! He smiled and headed into the corridor, walking along with hands behind his back, admiring the decor of the palace. He looked out ahead and stopped. His eyes widened, and he noticed Horemheb...with a boy. He tilted his head to the side, and quirked an eyebrow.
Horemheb was escorting this strange boy somewhere, and for a moment the General and Tut's eyes met, and Horemheb narrowed his eyes and looked away, taking the boy to the throne room. Tut's face furrowed in confusion, and walked quickly to the throneroom to see who this new boy was.
