"I...I'm not being controlled here, I..." He stopped chattering and shivering when his father eminated light onto him, and he actually scooted over closer to his father to get even warmer. Not close as to assume any submission to the old man. He sighed, and shook his head. "Amun said...we have to find something important, but that will not be for another couple of years...until this 'Great war' begins. It has to do with Set, though...he's plotting something bad...I just...I just wanna fight him NOW! Why wait?!"

(He is choosing to ignore what I say completely....Even if I do mean it....) I chose to hide how much this had wounded me....I knew he had not moved closer because he felt closer to me....It's all about survival.....

"You are so being controlled...Start voicing your opinions. Tell them you want to go back to my city and see what they say.....You will see I am right...."

I feel silent....Chose to look at the moon over looking into my son's face...

"I left a legacy you....could be proud of...If you chose to live as you want to live instead of how others want you to.....That is what I did......Lived how I wanted....."

*closes eyes, as wind blows against face* I can hear her voice in my head as if she were next to me.....

"You...cannot defeat Set....You have not the Power to do so.....Better to wait a few years, grow stronger, and then face him when you have a chance....As for the war....I do not believe in them. Nothing good ever comes from war....Families are torn apart...Homes destroyed....I really do not want to fight, but it seems...*eheheh* Amun sees this as a cruel joke. That Bastard." *leers with eyes closed*

And the boy did chuckle, a soft smile gracing his features. "Well, Amun does see everything as a joke...even human suffering amuses him, he says it keeps him entertained...Aten on the other hand...he doesn't like that stuff. Atum is indifferent, and Ptah just...doesn't associate with them..." He chuckled again, and his eyes grew heavy. He unintentionally rested his head on his father's chest, tired and albeit sooo warm in this freezing wind. He yawned, and rested in his father's arms. "I can be...stronger now, can't I? Amun gave me the weapons, and the power...I just need to...learn how to use them, and i'm a quick learner..." He yawned again, trying to fight the enemy of sleep, which always seemed to have conquered him.

*eyes widen* (This is most unexpected! He is leaning on me???) *blinks several times* (Well, at least he isn't looking at me...I imagine I am making a helluva face now.....)

"That is because Amun is a bastard. Everything is a joke to him. That is why I did not follow him...As for the rest, they all have their flaws too....Aten is the Only One who makes sense...." *looks down at Tut, notices he is dosing, smiles gently*

"You are strong in your own ways, kid....Just not how you need to be....You will learn and learn quickly....When you were small, you learned to stay out of my way very quickly...*chuckles* It will all come to you when the time is right...."

I watched as he murmered an assent...*hums Hymn to Aten* He tried to fight it off a bit longer, but...I can sing...so before long he was souond asleep....His breathing was slow and even....And he was quite peaceful looking, unlike the troublesome boy I had yelled at so many times for causing mischief....*expression softens* "Aten, he grew up....And I was not a part....It use to not bother me, but now....I realize how much I missed out on......" *brow furrows, tears glisten in corners of eyes, puts arms around Tut gently, gives Tut a kiss on head* "I love you, Tutankhaten....."

There I sat....Listening to his breathing, making sure he did not awaken, and that no harm befell him while he was asleep.....

His world went dark, and he could not be quite sure but he thought he felt a pair of giant lips on his forehead. He shuddered at that even in his slumber, and it wasn't long before the sun began to rise over the river.

He blinked his eyes open, escaping from a dream...a very scary one at that. He blinked twice, and beheld the sight of his father holding him...wait...what? He snuck out of the man's arms, and looked to the horizon. He frowned and bit his lower lip. "Ah, damn...gotta head back before I'm missed...hope it is not too late..." He looked to his father, quirked an eyebrow, and wrapped himself well in the cloak, heading back to his home.

As he walked a secret road only he knew well, a special route to the palace, he reflected on his dream. There was a great battle...it was he, his father, and Set...but Set was a great beast, and Tut had died in that dream, trying to...protect his father. He looked down at his feet as he walked, feeling very uneasy. He only looked back up when the palace was in view, and he ran like Hell to it, sneaking past the gate, guards and all, hastly and quietly, into his room and jumped onto his bed, pretending to be asleep.

I awoke with a start. (Damn, I must have dozed....) *blinks and rubs eyes, yawns* I had forgotten where I was and why the hell I was outside...*looks around* (That DAMN KID!!!) *growls, leaps to feet quickly* (He left!!)

I started to leave to find him, but...I remembered he had shuddered when I had kissed him on the top of his head....*frowns, expression saddens* (Why the hell should I care what happens to him???) *frown deepens, mutters* "he only makes me think of her anyway...."

I was angry and hurt....He had not even bothered to wake me....I was supposed to protect him....Then, I began to blame myself. If I had never fallen asleep then he would not have been able to leave without my knowing....(Everything always turns out to be my fault....) Fighting against my emotions I decided to return to the Palace in case he had went back....I thought that if....I made him feel abandoned he would never learn to trust or love me....So I stuck to my word and headed to the Palace....

He was there alright....Pretending to be asleep...I said not a word to him, instead I sat on the roof and thought again of my current situation...

The boy had only gotten not even an hour's rest when Ay came in to wake him, as he usually did. Ay just stood in the doorway, a smug look on his face as he smirked at the boy. He chuckled lightly to himself, and walked into the king's chamber.

"My Pharaoh, it is morning...time to wake up..."

Tut shivered, he hated this man with a passion...why wouldn't he just leave him be?! He turned over to look at Ay, then turned back to the window as the sun started climbing higher into the sky. Usually, he ignored the creepy Prime minister, and today would be no different. He sat up in bed, and glared at the man. "I'm awake, now. You are dismissed."

Ay scoffed at the boy, smirked in his usual weird way and walked out. Tut shuddered, and jumped out of his bed, putting on his golden nemes crown. He smiled up at it, it really felt good to have it on.

"Huh, maybe the old man was...right...?"

He pondered this for a moment, then shook his head. "Nyah...nope!" He grinned widely, and he realized he was already dressed to begin with-he just added his gold armbraces and necklace. He looked out the window, and took a deep breath, what wonderful fresh air met his lungs! He felt that this might actually be a great day! He smiled and headed into the corridor, walking along with hands behind his back, admiring the decor of the palace. He looked out ahead and stopped. His eyes widened, and he noticed Horemheb...with a boy. He tilted his head to the side, and quirked an eyebrow.

Horemheb was escorting this strange boy somewhere, and for a moment the General and Tut's eyes met, and Horemheb narrowed his eyes and looked away, taking the boy to the throne room. Tut's face furrowed in confusion, and walked quickly to the throneroom to see who this new boy was.

After meeting his new best friend-and second in command of his army-Nakhtmin, the young king headed up to his room with his hands casually behind his head. He looked to his bedroom for a moment, and glared at it. He snorted and continued walking, only running into his sister, Ankhesunamun...Sena for short.

Sena stood before the baffled king, with hands on her hips. There was a pause before she spoke first. "WELL...how's daddy doing?"

Tut looked to the side, and shrugged, eyes narrowed. "Who knows, and who really cares?"

Sena snuffed a bit. "Well, I do, for one...he's our father, after all. You should really take this time and...ya know...BOND with him. Really, Tut, he's a great guy once you--"

"I SAID I DON'T CARE!!" He snapped at her, then sighed and looked down, rubbing the back of his, er, crown. "Sorry, sis...it's just...so much is going on, and...I'm really don't have the time OR patience to talk to him..."

I have returned, after a long absence here and a long period of political confusion I have gone back to Egyptology...or better it never left me.
Name: Horemheb
Age: late 20s (what would be considered young man in prime in Ancient Egypt?)
Height: Tall
Weight: Average with a small muscular build
Sex: Male
Race: Egpytian
Position/Rank: Generalissmo, High Commander of Armies
Location: Presently at Memphis, should be on the Eastern Frontier
Occupation: Military Officer
Background story: Horemheb is from the Memphis area and has been in the military for many years now and steadily moved up the ranks, thanks' in part to the assistence of Ay.
He is strong both physically and mentally. He is an expert on tactics. The gods Horemheb worships the most is the Thebean Triad, particulary Khonsu the god of the moon.
Horemheb loves to have fun, but also loves power.
What others think of Horemheb:
"Horemheb? One of the best friends I have ever had. A fine fellow, though at times sad."- Ramses, General in Egyptian Army
"Horemwho? Oh the guy who was nagging me about the military budget. Poor guy might start a war just to show the men of Assyria that Egypt rules. Their women have already defeated him!!!"- Maya
"My husband can do whatever he wants, as long as he let's me have whatever I want."- Mudjowet, Nefertiti's sister and Horemheb's wife
"My best ally in my war against the family that dishonored my father! Time to show Tut who is boss!"- Khonsu, God of the Moon
Quote from Horemheb: Aten is dead and I am both his executor and his grave robber.

Eeek, we have Horemheb!! XD But his patron God here is Montu, the God of war...and he NEVER smiles. And umm...he's not married in the TuT! series...>_>;;; Ohhh booooy...how am I gonna explain this... Just so long as he's protective of Nakhtmin...hehe, puppy...

I should post now the chosen ones, and thier patron Gods:

Tut=Khonsu, God of the Moon
Akh=Aten, God of the Sun Disc
Ay=Min, God of rain and Fertility
Horemheb=Montu, God of war
Ankhesnamun(Sena) =Hathor, Goddess of love
Nakhtmin=Anubis, God of death (PUPPY!!!)
Akila/Hatshepsut=Isis, Goddess of Nature

...Yes...we brought Hatshepsut back from the past, because Set brought Ramesses II back from the future...fight fire with fire. 8) And in this version, Amun really is Hatshepsut's father!! Wheee drama!

Seshat, I'm so sorry to do this...Ramesses is a pshychopath...@_@ He's gone mad after the whole Moses thing...again, apologies, but I made him a villain anyway.

Baddies=

Set

Smenkhare (Akh's son and Tut's brother, who was kidnapped and brainwashed by Set. Now Smenkhy thinks SET is his father, and Smenkhy ends up killing Akh in the beginning of the story! @_@ Oyyy...)

Montu (Betrayed the Gods, because Amun undermines him.)

Ramesses II (Again, brought back from the future by Set. He went mad after the Moses thing AND losing his firstborn son AND losing the battle of Kadesh. He wants vengence. What's creepy is...he controls shadows, and he can turn into them too. O_O;; Seshat, again...BIG apologies...)

And Hatshepsut was brought back to help Tut and Akhenaten, and she is under the guise of Tut's tutor Akila. They won't know who she is until Ramesses exposes her.

...God, I'm evil.

By the way...With Nakhtmin, he's younger than Tut by a year, and a little smaller, but he's also Tut's best friend, and second in command of the army. Horemheb is rather...overprotective of him. ^_^;; They do have some sort of...relationship...? I dunno... :P

Yaay, we got a Sena...XD And that means you also have the powers of Hathor as one of the chosen ones. This should be fun...
